Established in 1978 as the Lionel Collector's Association of Canada, but now known as LCAC - Canada's Train Collectors^SM has grown to become one of the premiere collector groups in North America.

LCAC car projects focus on Canadian railroads.  Some cars are still decorated on Lionel^®  carbodies. However, in recent years, the Association has selected some cars from Crown and Weaver.

While the Association has members from all over Canada, more than half of the total membership lives in the United States. Some members are collectors; many are operators - some are both. Some do 3-rail; some do 2-rail. Recent emphasis on scale cars has expanded the Association's appeal to a wider audience of model rail hobbyists and train enthusiasts.

The LCAC Grading Standards are widely recognized as comprising one of the finest such systems in the hobby. Grading standards are used by anyone buying, selling, or evaluating trains. Collectors in both Canada and the United States rely on such standards.

Membership is open to anyone interested in Canadian railroading who is at least 18 years of age.

A ONE-TIME registration fee of ONLY $16.00 ( no Annual renewal fee ! ) entitles a new member to purchase all currently available O scale cars and any future LCAC model trains issued. Members receive a special certificate and a subscription to the LCAC's Switch List newsletter.
